Youth in London is a work in progress project that explore what 16-25 year olds are going in their free time. Working with each individual closely, I'm asking the question of why they choose to do what they do.
“I chose music as an escape from everyday because it was the first and only thing to give me a getaway when I was being bullied for my accent as a teen and ever since has been my escape.”
- Alika Agidi-Jeffs, 25
"...funny how I do it for the love but I know that I'm going to get hated, funny how I'm coming in first simply by putting out my latest”
- Alika Agidi-Jeffs, 25
"I'm not a puppet I'm a prophet if you don't remember anything else make sure that's the one thing you don't forget”
- Alika Agidi-Jeffs, 25
"Took a while to break out of wanting attention and seeking acceptance, I was programmed just like all the yes men that you can find in the west end"
- Alika Agidi-Jeffs, 25
“When I started my chef-ing career through courses and apprenticeships, it was so that I could have something to fall back on in the future. Before that, I always cooked at home for the family and my siblings. Cooking was a daily responsibility and being creative with it through reinventing was a more fun way to love food."

"I have always had an eclectic mindset which I used drawing, painting, designing and other creative outlets to filter through but when I was blessed with the business idea (Cally Munchy); I saw this as an opportunity to bring my creative skills, my love for re-inventing food and believe of a better future all together in a delicious way."
- Ebenezer Sogunro, 22
“I choose to skate in my free time because it's like a full body work out so means I don't have to go to the gym, but also just because it makes me feel so good."
- Rachel Sherlock, 25
"Obviously when you learn something new you're buzzing- but I use my penny board to get home from work and even just carving the pavements and going over small bumps and cracks (you have to be alert at all times) gives me a thrill and a sense of freedom. There's also something about bombing down the middle of the road late at night, something refreshing, can't quite explain it.”
- Rachel Sherlock, 20
“I make art for myself mostly, I like to just sit down with just my pen and pencil, or laptop and just create something that fits the moment I'm in."
- Kieran Strong, 20
"My illustrations are more easy on the eye and more sellable. While my glitch art is focused on destruction and creation.”
- Kieran Strong, 20
“London's youth today is more creative than ever before, and it's the social media element to this generation that really enhances someone's ability to share creative ideas of a single platform. Whether that be a short prank video or a piece of fine art.”
- Kieran Strong, 20
